These Terms & Policies apply to all participants of the Reflective Writing Retreat. They are intended to offer clarity, set gentle boundaries, and ensure that the retreat is held with care, transparency, and mutual respect. Please read them carefully before applying or confirming your place.
1. Participation & Eligibility
The Reflective Writing Retreat is an adult residential retreat centered on reflective writing, quiet presence, and shared space.
By applying and participating you confirm that:
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You are able to take responsibility for your own physical, emotional, and psychological well-being during the retreat.
- You understand that participation involves periods of silence, solitude and introspective work.
Participants are expected to engage respectfully with others, the facilitator, and the retreat environment. Disruptive, unsafe, or harmful behaviour may result in removal from the retreat without refund.
2. Nature of the Retreat
The retreat is guided by rhythm rather than agenda.
While light structure and optional writing sessions are offered, participation in any activity is voluntary.
The programme may evolve slightly in response to group needs, weather or unforeseen circumstances. Any such adjustments will be made with care and without altering the overall intention of the retreat.
3. Payment Structure
Participation is confirmed only once an application has been accepted and payment has been received.
Payments are structured as follows:
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place upon acceptance.
- Balance: The remaining balance is due by the date specified in your acceptance email. (typically several weeks prior to the retreat start date)

5. Travel Accommodation & Responsibility
Participants are responsible for :
- Arranging their own travel to and from the retreat location
- Holding valid travel documentation
- Ensuring appropriate travel and health insurance.
While accommodation and meals during the retreat are included as described on the site, participants are responsible for their personal belongings and any additional services.
6. Acceptance of Terms
By applying for and attending the Reflective Writing Retreat, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Policies.
