A day at the retreat follows a gentle rhythm rather than a fixed schedule. There is structure, but light.
Enough to hold you, not to hurry you. Each part of the day carries a different quality of attention.
Days begin quietly. Some participants write early, others walk, sit, or simply notice the shift from sleep into waking. Breakfast is unhurried. There is no requirement to speak, share, or produce.
We gather for a short reflective writing session. Invitations are offered gently, as openings rather than instructions. You may write, pause, listen, or step outside. You may remain with the group, or return to your room.
Lunch is shared and spacious. Conversation comes and goes naturally. This part of the day often carries a sense of ease, time to digest, rest, or continue writing privately.
The afternoon is largely unstructured. Some people nap, read or sit by the water. Others write, talk or remain still. On one day mid-week, the group tours the island together.
A second light writing session may be offered, depending on the day.
Sharing is always optional. Silence is welcome
This retreat is not designed to maximise output.
It is designed to support attention to what wants to be written, felt, or simply noticed.
The rhythm exists to make space, not to fill it.
